What are the special requirements for registering a .net.uk domain?¶

.net.uk domains are reserved for the computers of network providers; the network information centre (NIC) and network operation centre (NOC) computers, the administrative computers, and the network node computers.

Registrants must be Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and the domain name must be the same or similar to the name of the applicant.

Nominet perform many checks that must be passed before the registration of these domains can complete. The full list of rules are on Nominet’s site.
